Pleroma is a small, senior team. On purpose.
One team for your European growth — storefronts, marketplaces, compliance, retention and marketing, all in-house. Led by an operator, not an account manager.
The operator behind it
Pleroma is led by Matt Grochala — 13 years building and running multi-channel e-commerce operations in the UK, EU and Poland. Not advising on them. Running them.
The record, in facts: joined a London startup at zero and built it into an operation processing 1,000+ orders a day across a 35,000-SKU catalogue on eBay, Amazon UK/EU/US and Shopify — warehouse, customer service, supply chain and marketing included. Ran twelve marketplace accounts and three storefronts simultaneously for a UK retailer, directing expansion into the US, France and Germany. Then built a complete market entry for a global industrial brand's distribution: two Shopify storefronts developed in-house, ERP and PIM integrated, 15,000+ SKUs live on 8 marketplaces, seven-figure GMV in year one at 10.6–16× ROAS — delivered with a four-person specialist team hired, trained and led day to day.
Ten years of that happened in the UK. Home base today is Toruń, Poland — which is exactly the point: you get someone who sounds like your market and prices like Central Europe.
Why Pleroma exists
Thirteen years on the operator's side of the table means thirteen years of buying from agencies — and watching the same failure repeat. Brands entering Europe buy it in fragments: a dev shop that has never run a store, a marketplace agency that has never touched an ERP, an "EU consultant" with a slide deck and no hands. Three invoices, zero ownership. When something breaks between the fragments — and it always breaks between the fragments — everyone points at everyone.
The playbook that actually worked was the opposite: one team, everything in-house, decisions made by people who answer for the revenue. That's the playbook we ran as operators. Pleroma productises it for US and UK brands coming the other way — into Europe.
Why brands choose us
- Operators, not vendors. We've owned the P&L consequences of our own advice. Every recommendation you get has been paid for once already — with our own numbers.
- Everything in-house. Storefronts, integrations, content, creative, retention, automation — produced by us, not subcontracted. No margin on margin, no broker in the middle.
- EU-native, UK-fluent. A decade in the UK market, native fluency in the European ecosystems no US agency can navigate — Allegro, Kaufland, BaseLinker, Comarch, BLIK. Both sides of the bridge, one team.
- Numbers that survive due diligence. 10.6× Google / 16× Meta ROAS in production. 1,000+ orders a day operated. Catalogues to 150,000 SKUs managed. Ask for detail on any of them — that's what the intro call is for.
- Five seats, ever. Senior people don't scale by hiring juniors and pretending. The people you meet in the sales call are the people in your Slack.
- One accountable partner. Strategy, build and operations under one roof — when something needs fixing, there's one phone number and it's ours.
Why "Pleroma"?
It's the Greek word for fullness — the whole from which everything emanates. One team, the whole stack. The name is the offer.
